The Moroccan sports company Galaxy Capital, a company based in Morocco and the United Arab Emirates is in the process of forming a Consortium of diversified investors, to propose a purchase offer to the owner of Chelsea, in this case the Russian Roman Abrahomivic, indicates its president Outeil Touzer, in a statement to L’Opinion Sports
To meet this new challenge, Galxy Capital is already on the right track to unite private investors around this transaction, raise funds from capital markets, to cross the threshold of the 3 billion dollars necessary, to bid on this large market, says the same source
The Raine Group bank in charge of this transaction has already received several offers from several American groups, specifies Outeil, in particular Riketts family owner of baseball team Chicago cubs, Todd Bohely partner of the Los Angeles Dodgers and his partner Swiss Hansjorg Wyss, as well as two other British groups chaired by Lord Sebastian Coe and Sir Broughton former President of British airways and another group of real estate developer Nick Candy, supported by South Korean funds (Hana Financial Services official sponsor of the Korean Professional League)
And to add: Raine Group must decide in the coming days on the preferred proposals to present them to Román Abrahamovic and the British government which oversees the sale operation.
Of Moroccan origin, Outeil Touzer, is a specialist in the world of finance, investment and sports management, which the public has probably known, through his presence at the final of the last Copa América in Brazil where he lifted the trophy alongside of Messi and his teammates, or even during the prestigious annual event of globesoccer awars in Dubai, where he was chosen to present the trophy of the best Arab player to the Moroccan star of PSG Achraf Hakimi. He also maintains very close relations with the princes and billionaires of golf, as well as with the majority of the presidents and owners of major world clubs, with whom he has moreover collaborated in various investment and sponsorship projects during the past years, such as Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Atletico Madrid or Totenham Hotspur, etc.
As a reminder, the purchase of Chelsea in 2003 would have cost its owner Roman Abrahamovic the whopping 140 million pounds only, while the total value of investments in the club would have reached more than 2 billion dollars, concludes Outeil Touzer, president of Galaxy Capital.
According to the latest news, reports Outeil Touzer,
it is learned that Abrahamovic does not prefer to hand over the club to countries that have imposed sanctions on the Russian Oilgarch, which increases the chances of Galaxy Capital and other bidders in the market.
“If our offer is successful, Galaxy Capital plans to recruit London-based law firms Brandsmiths and Mishcon de Reya to manage the legal side of the transaction, as well as a global audit firm (Deloitte ), while involving the investment bank American Inner Circle Sport, recalls Mr Touzer «
